Team Explora is composed of four Masters students in the Human-Computer Interaction program through Carnegie Mellon University and Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute (M-ITI).

More4You is a Portugal based tour operator specializing in leisure travel experiences and providing comprehensive tourist services in Madeira.

Design Challenge

Promote the experience of Madeira in a dynamic and interactive way to reach the largest number of end customers through More4You’s domain: www.visitingmadeira.com

Sherry Wang

Project Manager

Sherry is a native Northern Californian and comes from a business consulting background prior to joining MHCI. As an artist at heart, pursuing a degree at the intersection of design, psychology, and technology felt like the natural next step for her. Outside of school, she’s passionate about photography, social impact, and music.

Gian Piero Spicci

Development Lead

Gian Piero Spicci (Caracas, Venezuela) completed his undergraduate studies in 2014 with a B.S. in Computer Science from Florida International University. Before enrolling in the Masters in Human-Computer Interaction (MHCI) at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and the Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute (M-ITI), Gian worked with a team to develop an online platform for Smartinvest Capital LLC, a nancial consulting rm expanding into the world of alternative investment.

Ayla Walsh

User Research Lead

Ayla is from Orange County, California and prior to joining MHCI, she was curiously exploring why people think and act the way they do. She studied psychology and cognitive science at UCLA, continued by research involved with the brain. Ayla later stepped out of academia after learning about the value that psychology brings in designing for user’s needs. The domains she is particularly interested in are education, mental and physical health and brain-computer interfaces.

Jason Eaglin

Creative Lead

Jason is from Rancho Cucamonga, California, and comes from a background of Engineering/ Technology Education with a minor in Computer Information Systems and Technology. Jason has an interest in designing interfaces and technologies that both enhance and foster social interactions. In his spare time, Jason enjoys competitive gaming, traveling and experiencing different cultures, and politics.
